User research, user and technology driven concepts for the future generations of Dunlop waterproof boots for professional use

Dunlop Protective Footwear is the global market leader in protective footwear for the boots segment. The company offers customers all over the world the highest level of safety footwear for professional use in segments such as Agriculture, Food Processing, Construction & Infrastructure and Oil, Gas & Mining.

During this project user and technology insights were delivered aimed at conceiving the next generation of protective boots. Performing a qualitative research through contextual enquiry on a target group of users revealed the main focus area for concept creation. Moreover, a thorough technology research was carried out to identify possible innovations to implement in the high-end product range. Insights and concepts were successfully presented and discussed with CEO, marketing, sales and innovation managers in Dunlop.
